In the first line it is of hitmest necessity to ensure

a full success to attach the greatest importance to careful and skil- -ful packing and as this point is a speciality of mine I can give my friends every guarantee in this respect.

As a matter of fact there may be few exporters who have gained such an all-round experience in this particular matter and there may be none at all who can boast of an uninterrupted line of successful shipments such as I can do. A great number of shipments have been sent out by me already but up till the present time none of them has met with an accident or has been intercepted neither in Amoy nor in Hong- -kong and I am glad to say none of my friends have ever lost a sin le penny over this business or have been disappointed in the slightest degree.

I know quite well that Custome people on your side have become rather sharp of late and altough some of my friends continue to have their orders shipped without taking the precaution of having the C. and H. concealed in any way and apparently can manage it to get their shipments through the Customs without the slightest trouble, I cannot really recommend this system. Ly recommendation goes to the effect to have the C. or M. concealed within some other packages con- -taining harmless goods packing the same in such a way that even on opening a package there will be nothing to arouse the Customs people's suspicions.

From practical experience I know that casks are least subjected to examination and in consequence offer the greatest amount of protection and I suggest as being most suitable for this purpose to have the C. and l. concealed inside casks containing

Epson Salt: Anilin Salt: Naphtalin: Soda Ash, etc. etc.

According to the size of the casks about 75 to 100 oz. can be packed in each cask and are then covered up again with the respective

material.

Further I can recomend as very suitable

Irons drums containing Calcium Carbide

Caustic Soda

Caustic potash
